    At the recent 2025 AAEA Music Awards, Nigerian music superstars dominated, winning multiple accolades across various categories.

    Wizkid took home the award for Best Afro-R&B Song with his hit Piece of My Heart, featuring Brent Faiyaz. Meanwhile, British-Nigerian singer Darkoo bagged Best Diasporan Act, thanks to the success of her single Favourite Girl, which features a remix with Rema.

    Asake’s collaboration with Wizkid on MMS won Best Afro-Native Song, a standout track from his third album, Lungu Boy. Ayra Starr was recognized as Best Female Artist in West Africa, while street-pop sensation Seyi Vibez clinched the Best Male Artist award.

    OdumoduBlvck, known for his impactful rap style, was named Best Rapper in West Africa, adding another feather to his cap. Additionally, Davido and Chris Brown’s international collaboration on Hmm won Best Global Collaboration from Brown’s album 11:11.

    Burna Boy received the highly coveted Best Overall Male Artist of the Year award, solidifying his position as a global superstar leading the charge for African music on the world stage.

    Meanwhile, Grammy-winning Tems earned Best Global Female African Artist, further cementing her place as an influential global artist pushing African music boundaries.
