Afro-fusion and R&B singer-songwriter Tay Iwar has released his latest EP, Reflection Station, marking a significant milestone in his evolving music career.

This project invites listeners on a journey through motion, memory, and healing, blending his signature style of R&B, Afro-fusion, and soulful soundscapes. It’s a deeply personal yet universal offering, one that reflects his growth both as an artist and as a person.

Tay describes Reflection Station as “a checkpoint for motion, memory, and mercy,” inspired by the legendary Nigerian duo Zule Zoo. He channels this influence to transform resistance into rhythm, creating a sound that is as much about the healing process as it is about musical expression.

The EP consists of five distinct tracks, each one a reflection of his evolving sound and lyrical depth. The lead single, “Bad Belle,” which was released earlier this year, sets the tone for the project and highlights his ability to craft songs that are both introspective and impactful.

One of the most striking aspects of Reflection Station is that Tay Iwar delivers it without relying on featured artists. Instead, his raw talent takes center stage, allowing his unique sound to shine through and giving the project a more intimate and personal feel.

Tay Iwar explains that Reflection Station is “what healing sounds like when it doesn’t ask for permission,” with each track acting as a mirror that encourages listeners to feel, remember, and move with purpose.

This EP offers an immersive experience, one that speaks to survival, transformation, and finding peace in the in-between moments of life.

With previous projects like Renascentia (2016) and Gemini (2019), Tay Iwar has always had the ability to pull listeners into his world.

However, with Reflection Station, he offers something even more profound and intimate, creating a space where reflection and growth can occur through the power of music.
