Nigerian sensation Ayra Starr has cemented her status as a global force after dominating Spotify’s Global Impact List for 2024.
The Grammy-nominated artist leads a collection of 30 Nigerian songs that have resonated with international audiences, reinforcing the country’s expanding influence on the global music stage.
Ayra Starr’s chart-topping position comes through her feature on Rvssian’s hit single, ‘Santa,’ a track that also appears on her sophomore album, “The Year I Turned 21.”
The recognition underscores her growing global appeal and the increasing power of Nigerian music beyond its borders.
The Global Impact List showcases the strength of cross-continental collaborations, featuring tracks from international stars like Usher, Coldplay, and Chris Brown, who have all worked with Nigerian artists.
This trend highlights how partnerships between Nigerian and foreign artists serve as a major driver for international success.
Notably, while three of the featured collaborations involve Nigerian artists teaming up locally, 19 tracks on the list include partnerships with artists from other countries, further emphasizing how Afrobeats continues to transcend borders.
