American rapper Kanye West has sparked fresh controversy after proudly boasting about the attention his wife, Bianca Censori, received for her bold, see-through outfit at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Despite the backlash over the outfit, which many considered inappropriate for the family-friendly event, West flooded his Instagram stories with posts celebrating the attention the dress garnered.
In a series of posts on February 4, 2025, Kanye shared Google search trends and analytics from the day of the Grammys, declaring that his wife was the most googled person, even more than the awards themselves. “The most googled person wearing YZY Womens,” he wrote, proudly sharing the attention the outfit received.
“We beat the Grammys,” Kanye added in another post, celebrating the viral moment that saw his wife unveil the controversial dress on the red carpet.
As Bianca removed her fur coat to reveal the sheer outfit, the moment quickly set the internet ablaze, sparking outrage among many who considered it inappropriate for such a high-profile event.
While some social media users expressed their shock, accusing the couple of indecent exposure, others questioned why Bianca had to be the one to bear the brunt of the criticism, asking why Kanye didn’t take the same route if it was about pushing boundaries.
“Should’ve been enough by now,” one user wrote, while another pointed out the presence of children among the Grammy nominees, expressing concerns over the outfit’s appropriateness.
Despite the negative reactions, Kanye has continued to defend the moment, proudly celebrating the media frenzy it caused. While there was speculation that they were escorted out of the event after the red carpet, sources close to the Grammy’s have denied this, claiming that West simply walked the carpet, got in his car, and left.
