YCee Urges Government to Ban POS Machines After Losing…

Nigerian rapper YCee has called on the government to prohibit the use of point-of-sale (POS) machines following a personal experience that resulted in a loss of N2.7 million.

Taking to his social media page, the rapper disclosed how unauthorized transactions drained his bank account in November 2024. Initially believing his ATM card had been compromised, YCee later discovered that the fraudulent activity was conducted through a POS machine.

In detailing the incident, YCee explained that the funds were withdrawn in three separate transactions: the first for N1 million, the second for another N1 million, and the third for N700, totaling N2.7 million.

The rapper’s revelation has sparked conversations about the security of POS machines and the growing concerns of financial fraud in Nigeria. YCee’s call for a ban on POS devices reflects his frustration and highlights the need for stricter regulations and improved security measures in the banking and financial sectors.

This incident adds to the increasing reports of fraudulent activities involving POS machines, raising questions about their vulnerability and the impact on victims.

Many fans and social media users have since expressed sympathy for YCee, while others have called for innovative solutions to address such issues.
