    • Nigerians now run to VDM for help instead of government – Skales laments

Skales Expresses Concern Over Dwindling Trust in Nigerian Government

Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, has voiced his concerns over the growing distrust in the Nigerian government.

The Shake Body hitmaker lamented that instead of turning to governmental institutions for justice and support, citizens are increasingly relying on individuals like activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) to seek help.

In a post shared on his X handle, Skales remarked: “It’s crazy what is going on in Nigeria … imagine where the citizens cannot run to the government but to a fellow citizen like VDM for help ….smh!! God bless & protect him tho.”

His comment has sparked conversations about the state of governance and accountability in Nigeria, as many citizens continue to express frustration with public institutions. Skales’ message reflects a sentiment shared by many, calling for reform and greater transparency within the government.

In other news, Skales accused the police officers of pointing guns at him and his team “as if we were criminals” and then demanding “Christmas money.” When he refused, the situation allegedly escalated, with the officers threatening to delay and search his vehicle.

Skales wrote: “They said a lot of rubbish… that they would delay us and search us. I said my level of hatred for this joke called Nigerian Police Force will not let me want to ever be at your mercy.”

During the search, police found bundles of cash in the vehicle, which the singer claimed worsened their behavior.

“They started saying, ‘Okay, so you get money you no want give us; we go show you today.’”
