Burna Boy behind Speed Darlington’s latest arrest – Lawyer reveals
Controversial Nigerian-American rapper Speed Darlington has found himself in the headlines once again, with his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, making explosive claims regarding the artist’s ongoing feud with Afrobeat star Burna Boy.
In a new post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Adeyanju revealed that Burna Boy is allegedly behind the recent arrest of Speed Darlington, marking the rapper’s second run-in with the law in two months.
Speed Darlington was arrested in the early hours of November 27, 2024, during a show in Owerri, Imo State. At the time of the announcement, Adeyanju did not provide any specific reasons for the detention, sparking curiosity among the public.
However, in his latest update, the human rights lawyer pointed the finger squarely at Burna Boy, suggesting that the Grammy-winning artist orchestrated the rapper’s latest legal troubles.
Adeyanju’s post on X read: “Burna Boy behind harassment of Speed Darlington by the police. This is someone who has been singing against oppression and forming junior Fela, now oppressing Akpi.”
The rift between the two artists appears far from over, with the tension between them only escalating. This new development suggests that their feud, which has simmered for months, is likely to continue to play out in the public eye.
Speed Darlington, unfazed by the latest arrest, had earlier made headlines after his first release from detention. In a defiant video, he bragged about his resilience, declaring, “What doesn’t kill me can only make me stronger. I am stronger now. Seventeen arrests in the USA plus this one, eighteen. I am stronger. I have been through the bottomless pit.”
The latest drama surrounding Speed Darlington only adds fuel to the fire, as fans and critics alike eagerly await further details on the motivations behind his continued legal battles and the role of Burna Boy in this ongoing saga.
