Alex Iwobi Keen To Inspire Young People Through Football and Music
Alex Iwobi is committed to empowering young people through his passion for both football and music. The Nigerian international recently dropped his second single, “What’s Luv?” featuring his close friend SPKS and up-and-coming artist MBrown.
This new release follows Iwobi’s debut track “Don’t Shoot,” which he introduced in June, marking his entry into the music world alongside his football career.
At 28, Iwobi is using his platform to inspire young people, particularly those growing up in challenging environments.
Reflecting on his own experiences in a tough area of London, he shared with BBC Sport, “Growing up in an area of London that is challenging for some people, I know how hard it can be, and I’m grateful to have a platform to try and make a difference.”
Through his music, Iwobi aims to encourage young individuals to think outside the box and pursue their dreams. “I hope that my music is another way of proving that young people do not have to feel they have to fit in just one box. I want them to be encouraged to achieve their dreams and to put their focus into positive things,” he added.
Iwobi’s approach highlights his dedication to using his influence as a professional athlete to impact lives beyond the football field. By venturing into music, he not only broadens his horizons but also shows young people that they too can explore multiple paths in pursuit of their passions.
His journey exemplifies resilience and ambition, making him a role model for youth striving to achieve success across diverse fields.
