“Liberate Yourself From Hijab First” Seun Kuti Slams Aisha Yesufu, She Drags Fela
A heated online clash between Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti and political activist Aisha Yesufu has intensified, with both parties trading harsh insults in various videos that have surfaced on social media.
The dispute erupted when Seun Kuti suggested that Aisha should remove her hijab to genuinely advocate for the liberation of Nigerian women.
In response, Aisha launched a fierce tirade, threatening physical harm to Seun and disparaging his music career.
In a subsequent video, Seun retaliated by recalling a past interaction with Aisha on a television show, where he claimed he had to endure her body odour for two hours.
He also accused Aisha of downplaying his achievements in comparison to American music mogul Jay-Z, stating, “I said the private sector should be held accountable for Nigeria’s economic situation. She responded that I’m not a capitalist like Jay-Z because I haven’t achieved that level of success.”
Additionally, Seun ridiculed Aisha’s loyalty to former presidential candidate Peter Obi, questioning when she would hold herself accountable to the “Obidients.”
This ongoing feud has ignited fervent discussions on social media, with many users advocating for greater civility and respect in public conversations.
“… Kate Henshaw was there. Na near me she (Aisha Yesufu) siddon. First of all, she was just smelling…”
