Burna Boy Brags About Wealth, Says He Doesn’t Need Most of It
Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy recently took to social media to flaunt his wealth, asserting that he possesses far more than he needs.
In an Instagram story on Saturday, the “Dangote Still Dey Find Money” singer wrote, “I don’t even need most of the sh!t I got. I could really give out millions of dollars right now, but I don’t like y’all.”
Meanwhile, music executive and talent manager Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paul O, has also shed light on Burna Boy’s financial status.
During an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Paul O revealed that Burna is currently the richest Nigerian musician, earning between $80 to $100 million in 2023 alone.
Paul O noted that despite his massive earnings, Burna Boy operates with a lean team, mainly consisting of his mother Bose Ogulu, his sister Ronami, and a few consultants. He added that although Burna Boy makes an incredible amount of money, he rarely boasts about his wealth or net worth.
Recall that the Nigerian megastar has solidified his position as the Nigerian artist with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100, a testament to his growing global influence.
Known for his breakout hit “YE,” Burna Boy has achieved widespread acclaim, filling prestigious venues and winning numerous awards.
His latest accomplishment comes from his feature on Coldplay’s track “We Pray,” alongside Little Simz, which debuted at No. 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of October 19, 2024.
With this entry, Burna Boy now has six total Billboard Hot 100 entries, with his highest-charting single, “Last Last,” peaking at No. 44 and spending 19 weeks on the chart.
