Reminisce shares personal playlist heavy on Afrobeats.
Nigerian rapper Reminisce offered fans a peek into his playlist, highlighting the artists currently making waves in his music rotation. Known for his support of younger talents and his influence in the Nigerian music scene, Reminisce, whose full name is Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, shared his favourites during an episode of the *I Said What I Said* podcast.
Among the artists dominating his playlist, Reminisce singled out Asake, Psycho YP, and Odumodublvck. He expressed admiration for Asake, noting that he’d been a fan long before the singer signed with YBNL, and he continues to resonate with the neo-fuji artist’s unique sound and themes.
Psycho YP, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s alté and trap music scenes, also caught Reminisce’s attention. YP’s laid-back flow and innovative style have made waves beyond Nigeria, contributing to the rise of urban music on a broader scale.
Reminisce also praised Odumodublvck, describing his persona as gritty and eclectic. Odumodu’s genre-blending approach has helped him build a strong fanbase across both underground and mainstream music circles.
In addition to homegrown talent, Reminisce shared his love for international artists like legendary rapper Nas, R&B superstar Chris Brown, and Haitian-American musician Wyclef Jean. These diverse influences highlight Reminisce’s broad taste, reflecting a mix of Afro-fusion, hip-hop, and R&B that shape his musical sensibilities.
