    • Revelation has made it clear that Africans won’t make heaven – Seun Kuti

Renowned Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has challenged traditional views of God and religion as portrayed by Western and Abrahamic traditions.

In a recent episode of the “Zero Conditions Podcast,” Kuti criticized what he referred to as the “white God” of these religions, arguing that such a depiction is problematic.

“I don’t believe in God as the Western and Abrahamic religions portray himโ€”their own white God,” he stated.

“This God of theirsโ€”if he lived among us, no one would like him. Someone watching you constantly and dictating your actions? Five thousand years on the throne with no election? Spend just 15 years on earth as a ruler, and people would start asking, ‘Oga, when is the next election?'” Kuti explained.

He also highlighted what he sees as the Bible’s negative portrayal of women, using Eve, Delilah, and Jezebel as examples.

He added, “He didn’t like women either. Every bad thing that happened in the Bible was because of a womanโ€”Eve, Delilah, Jezebel. If you close your eyes and imagine your God as a white man with white hair, a beard, and a white robe, you’re lost.”

Kuti further asserted that Africans are destined for servitude in the temple rather than admission to heaven.

He remarked, “Revelations has already made it clear that African people would never make it to heaven. Only 144,000 people from the 12 tribes of Judea will enter the real heaven. The rest will go there to serve in the temple. So, slavery has already been secured for you again.”

During the podcast, Seun also reflected on his relationship with his father, whom he considers his favorite person in the world. He acknowledged that while his siblings might have different views on their father’s parenting, he personally felt that Fela was an amazing dad.
