Nigerian award-winning artist Wizkid recently expressed his love for two popular Nigerian soups, egusi and efo, in a recent interview.

When asked to choose between the two, the “Ojuelegba” singer shared his fondness for both, saying in Yoruba, “Mo feran efo ati egusi,” which means “I love efo and egusi.”

Wizkid went on to explain that his preference for these Nigerian soups is even stronger when they are made with “Eja too bad,” a phrase meaning nice fish.

Adding a touch of humor, he exclaimed “Allahu Akbar” as he described his favorite soups, which amused his fans.

This lighthearted moment not only showcased Wizkid’s personality beyond his music but also highlighted his appreciation for Nigerian cuisine and his ability to connect with fans on a personal level.

In an interview with Lyrics Inspire, the global superstar revealed a surprising detail about his personal life: he’s been using the same phone number for over eight years, including the time before he released his hit song “Ojuelegba.”

Wizkid, known for his laid-back demeanor, spoke about his approach to building strong bonds with those close to him, highlighting the importance of mutual understanding, respect, and support.

He also mentioned that he recently had to get a new phone because his contact list had reached full capacity. To maintain his peace of mind, Wizkid shared that only a select few have access to his number, and he’s not afraid to block individuals who become overly intrusive or bothersome.
