Young Jonn reveals how he met, began working Olamide

Nigerian singer and music producer, Young Jonn, has shared the story of how he met and began working with YBNL boss, Olamide.

In an interview with UK-based journalist Adesope Shopsydoo, Young Jonn revealed that he met Olamide at a studio where he used to record his songs. He was introduced to Olamide by Pheelz The Producer.

At the time, Young Jonn was just 16 and would often hang out at the studio. One day, he played some music for Olamide, which led to them hitting it off. Olamide later called him to come over, and they recorded the song “Story for the Gods.”

This collaboration marked the beginning of their working relationship, with Young Jonn going on to produce Olamide’s album. The young producer’s talent and skills clearly impressed Olamide, and their partnership resulted in some great music.

In other news, Young Jonn has revealed the challenges he faced while transitioning from a producer to a performing artist. In a recent interview on Isi Ijewere’s Backstage Banter, Young Jonn shared his experiences and personal struggles.

When asked about the hardest part of his transition, Young Jonn said, “The hardest part was self-conviction, actually convincing myself that I could do it. That was the hardest part, where I was on stage asking myself if I really wanted to do this or not. It was really hard for me to convince myself that I got this.”

Isi Ijewere also asked Young Jonn about his emotional side, questioning when he last cried. The singer revealed, “The last time I cried was when I lost my mum. I don’t think I have cried since then.”

Young Jonn emphasized the importance of being true to oneself, stating, “I think everyone lies to themselves about one thing or the other just to make themselves feel better.”
