    Burna Boy’s latest single, “Higher,” has set a new record as the most streamed African song in a single day on Spotify. With over 1.31 million streams on its first full day of tracking, it stands out as one of the Grammy winner’s most successful singles in recent times.

    The music video for “Higher” was released a few days ago in Burna Boy’s hometown of Port Harcourt. Officially debuted on June 28, 2024, the song is an anthem of resilience and hope.

    The impressive streaming record was announced through a series of posts on his “X” handle, which stated, “‘Higher’ earns over 1.31 million streams on Spotify in its first full day of tracking.”

    “Project Project,” Burna Boy’s latest endeavor, includes “Higher” and is a collaboration with the charity organization The R.E.A.C.H. The music video prominently features the organization, highlighting his dedication to providing essential services to underserved populations in Nigeria.

    Meanwhile, his album “I Told Them” has re-entered the Top 40 of the UK Apple Music Top Albums Chart at #36, coinciding with the anticipation of his sold-out concert. Burna Boy has also become the first African artist to headline two stadium concerts in the UK.

    Recognized as one of the most successful Afrobeats musicians in Nigeria’s history, Burna Boy’s achievements in 2024 have been remarkable. TIME named him one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2024, and he made history in the US with the highest-grossing concert by an African artist. Additionally, he set a record in Canada for the highest-grossing tour by an African artist.

    “Higher” marks another milestone in Burna Boy’s illustrious career, further cementing his status as a global music icon.
