Maduka Okoye shares his top Nigerian musical choices for artists.
Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, recently disclosed his musical inclinations in an interview where he was asked to choose between two Nigerian music heavyweights, Davido and Burna Boy. Okoye revealed that he prefers Davido’s music over Burna Boy’s, citing a personal preference for Davido’s songs.
While acknowledging the greatness of both artists, Okoye admitted that he listens more frequently to Davido. He emphasized that there are songs from Burna Boy that he loves, but overall, Davido’s tracks dominate his playlist. In his own words, “I listen more to Davido than Burna Boy. But there are songs from Burna Boy that I love. There’s just more of Davido’s music on my playlist.”
Okoye’s preference adds to the ongoing discussions among music fans about the distinct styles and appeal of Davido and Burna Boy within the Nigerian and global music scenes.
