Nicki Minaj’s weekend was tumultuous, beginning with her arrest at an Amsterdam airport for allegedly having marijuana in her bags. After spending several hours in custody, she was released. Despite the ordeal, the rapper shared her apologies online, expressing resilience with the message, “Please, please, please accept my deepest and most sincere apologies… this, too, shall pass.”
Following her release, the Trinidadian music star invited fans to meet her at her hotel, signaling her desire to connect despite the setback. She reassured fans she would be visible from the balcony and encouraged them to stay indoors if they were already in bed.
Despite the challenges, Minaj went on to perform in Birmingham on Sunday (May 26) and plans to continue her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” across Europe, including stops in London, Glasgow, Paris, and a return to Amsterdam leading up to the rescheduled Manchester concert.
In addition, Minaj announced the second U.S. leg of her global trek, starting in September. The tour will include cities such as Cleveland, Dallas, Jacksonville, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, among others. Notably, the first arena run completely sold out, highlighting the enduring popularity of the artist.
