Magistrate Court orders DNA test for late Mohbad’s son
In a significant development, the Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has issued a mandate for Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad, to undergo a DNA test for their son, Liam.
The decision, announced on Wednesday, April 17, came through a statement signed by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team representing the Aloba family.
Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, through his legal representatives, sought the court’s permission to serve Wunmi with the necessary legal documents at her last known address. This request followed two unsuccessful attempts by the sheriff to deliver court papers regarding the DNA test to Wunmi.
The Chief Magistrate granted the order, allowing the court documents to be posted at Wunmi’s last known address, thereby fulfilling the requirement for service under the court’s rules. This ensures that Wunmi is properly informed about the pending lawsuit and the court’s directive regarding the DNA test for Liam.

Mohbad’s father has insisted on a DNA test from Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and awaits the autopsy results. Additionally, figures such as Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, and others have been linked to Mohbad’s death, further complicating the situation.
