I wrote ‘No Competition’ for Davido – 1Da Banton
Nigerian artist 1Da Banton has shared insights into his collaborations with fellow musician Davido, revealing his involvement in writing Davido’s track “No Competition,” featuring Asake.
Additionally, 1Da Banton disclosed his role as the producer for Davido’s “Na Money,” featuring Angelique Kidjo and The Cavemen.
The talented artist, known for his hit “No Wahala,” joined the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope, where he opened up about his contributions to Davido’s music.
“I produced Davido’s ‘Na Money’ with The Cavemen and wrote ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake,” 1Da Banton revealed during the podcast.
Reflecting on his journey into music, 1Da Banton credited popular skit maker and singer Nasboi for inspiring him to pursue a career in music, particularly during his relationship with Nasboi’s sister.
“My older sister’s ex-boyfriend, Nasboi, inspired me to make music,” he shared, shedding light on the personal connection that fueled his passion for music.

Recall, Mp3bullet reported that 1Da Banton signed a global deal with global music publisher Sony Music Publishing, home to the world’s greatest songwriters like Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, Beyoncé, Queen, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Pharrell & more.
On Thursday 4th May 2023, The “No Wahala” hitmaker signed a publishing deal with Sony music publishing Germany ahead of the EP release on 17th May 2023.
He shared photos with Sony Music officials on his Instagram.
