    Nigerian artist Shallipopi has finally released his highly anticipated album, “Shakespopi,” which has sparked a range of opinions from listeners. However, keen-eyed fans quickly noticed a notable inclusion: Shallipopi ingeniously incorporated “Bella Ciao” from Money Heist into his track titled “Hightension.”

    Since bursting onto the Nigerian music scene, Shallipopi’s rise to stardom has been swift. He has effortlessly ascended into fame, leaving a trail of hits like “Elon Musk,” “Obapluto,” “Cast,” and “Ex-Convict.”

    His chart-topping tracks have propelled him onto the international stage, where he has graced prestigious events such as Afronation, Malta DLT, and the Wireless Festival. To kick off 2024, he announced the release date of his new album. In his announcement, he likened himself to the world’s greatest poet and playwright, William Shakespeare.

    His new album, “Shakespopi,” comprises nine tracks and features collaborations with Zerrydl, Reehaa, and Tega Boi. Speculation online suggests that the second track, “Hightension,” samples “Bella Ciao” from the Netflix original series Money Heist.

    Despite receiving mixed reactions, all nine songs from Shallipopi’s album “Shakespopi” have now secured spots on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top 10 chart. This achievement demonstrates the widespread appeal and popularity of Shallipopi’s music, indicating a strong reception from listeners across the country.
