Portable reveals plans to launch brotherhood and sisterhood clothing lines
Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has unveiled plans to enter the fashion industry with the launch of brotherhood and sisterhood clothing lines.
In a video circulating online on Saturday, April 6, 2024, Portable outlined his intentions, detailing his vision to produce two distinct sets of clothing tailored for brotherhood and sisterhood. He clarified that brotherhood clothing would be exclusively designed for men, while sisterhood clothing would cater solely to women.
Highlighting the significance of maintaining the differentiation between the two apparel categories, Portable issued a stern warning against any form of cross-dressing. He firmly stated that only men should wear brotherhood clothing and only women should wear sisterhood clothing.
Moreover, he cautioned that individuals who violate these guidelines by wearing clothing not designated for their gender would face consequences, including identification, physical reprimands, and disciplinary actions.
Portable’s declaration comes amid ongoing controversy sparked by the recognition of Bobrisky, a male crossdresser, who received the title of best dressed in the female category at a prominent event.
As Portable prepares to launch his brotherhood and sisterhood clothing lines, his unwavering stance underscores the importance he attaches to upholding traditional gender distinctions in fashion, while also engaging with societal discussions surrounding gender expression and identity.
