I’ll never do any DNA’ – Mohbad’s wife Wunmi makes U-turn
Wunmi, the wife of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has reversed her decision regarding the DNA test for their son, Liam.
Despite calls from some Nigerians, including her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, for a DNA test to establish Liam’s paternity following Mohbad’s tragic demise, Wunmi had previously expressed her willingness to undergo the test.
However, in a recent development, Wunmi stated in an audio message circulating on X that she no longer consents to a DNA test for Liam. She emphasized that only her late husband had the authority to request such a test from her.
Furthermore, Wunmi asserted that Mohbad was her only intimate partner and the one who deflowered her. She maintained that she had never been involved with any other man.
Wunmi said: “Mohbad disvirgined me; nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test. I have never slept with any man except him. I will never do any DNA; no one can tell me to do DNA except I wish to. Koni daa fun gbogbo yin ranting about DNA.”
Nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test. I will never do it because my late husband took my cha§tity. He’s the only man I have ever known — Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, makes a U-turn days after telling her father-in-law that she was ready to take a DNA test pic.twitter.com/BtUCnSqBym

Recall, Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana reportedly withdraws from representing the late Nigerian artist Mohbad’s family due to family disagreements and conflicting statements.
A surfaced video suggests that challenges arose from Mohbad’s family’s behavior, leading to conflicting statements to the media and hindering the pursuit of justice.
Additionally, the bitter feud within Mohbad’s family, especially involving Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, and daughter-in-law, Wunmi, has exacerbated the situation.
Aloba accused Wunmi of attempting to harm him, while Wunmi responded by initiating legal proceedings against her father-in-law for defamation, adding to the complexity of the situation.
The man in the video also alleged that the court had deemed such family disputes as commonplace and urged Falana not to withdraw from the case, citing his esteemed reputation.
