    “They had to convince me to put that song out because I wasn’t sure,” Ayra Starr revealed candidly.

    Elaborating on her reservations, Ayra shared that she harbored doubts about how her audience would receive the song, especially considering its departure from her previous releases. Yet, despite her apprehensions, “Rush” triumphed, solidifying Ayra Starr’s place as a rising star in the music industry.

    The accompanying music video has garnered an astounding 300 million views, setting a remarkable record for a Nigerian female artist. Additionally, Ayra Starr’s remarkable achievement earned her a prestigious Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards.

    This historic nomination solidified her status as the first female Nigerian artist to be recognized as a lead artist in this category.
