BlockParty’s holiday season events will feature Davido and Adekunle Gold as the main acts.
Nigerian music stars Davido and AG Baby are set to headline Africa’s premier youth festival, The BlockParty, during its upcoming holiday events.
The announcement was made by the artists on Instagram, and the Island Block Party’s page confirmed the details.
Davido wrote, “I’ll be bringing the heat to the @islandblockparty on December 26! Get ready for a night of timeless vibes and unforgettable moments. We’re about to make history together! ⏳ Save the date and let’s create memories that last a lifetime.”
The DMW boss is scheduled to lead the Island edition on December 26, while Adekunle Gold will take the stage for the Mainland event on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024.

Davido’s appearance at the Timeless BlockParty on the Island will feature supporting acts such as ODUMODUBLVCK, Fave, and Dopecaesar.
The festival’s sound system crew, including DJ Titanium, Maze x Mxtreme, and SmallztheDJ, will also be present. Davido, who received three Grammy Award nominations for 2024, is coming off a successful year with his album “Timeless,” earning accolades including ‘Album of the Year’ at AFRIMMAs 2023.
On January 1, Adekunle Gold will headline the fifth-anniversary edition of the festival’s Mainland event, #Mission24K. The announcement was made on the Mainland Block Party official Instagram page, stating, “@adekunlegold x @mainlandblockparty Jan 1st. Anniversary Jamming! Tell a Friend! We shutting down the mainland.”
