Oladips reveals his experience while under Reminisce record label at LRR Records.

In a recent interview on the Honest Bunch podcast hosted by OAP Nedu and fellow podcasters, notable Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, professionally known as Oladips, opened up about his experiences while under his senior colleague Reminisce’s record label, LRR Records.

Oladips, who had previously made headlines for faking his death (a claim he later denied and apologized for on behalf of his management), shared details about why he left Reminisce’s record label. He revealed that despite having a hit song titled “Lalakukulala” released in 2017, he faced financial struggles, noting that he was extremely broke during that time.

Leaving the record label in 2019, Oladips disclosed that, despite the success of “Lalakukulala,” he found himself in a situation where he had no food in his house. In 2019, he stated that he left the record label with only N23,000 in his account, and he alleged that Reminisce made him sign a fraudulent deal.

In his 2019 diss track “Maybe,” Oladips expressed regret for signing to Reminisce’s label, claiming that Reminisce said he was not making money for the label and that his boss had made life difficult for him within the label.

He further accused the label of taking advantage of him, cutting off his income and other business opportunities.
