Chelsea want Kvaradona! Blues join queue of clubs chasing €100m-rated Napoli Scudetto hero Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Chelsea has reportedly entered the race for Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who carries a hefty price tag of €100 million (£87m/$109m).
The 22-year-old Georgian forward has garnered attention from top clubs across Europe, including Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Newcastle.
Kvaratskhelia’s impressive performances during Napoli’s Serie A title-winning campaign in 2022–23, where he contributed 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 games across all competitions, have made him a sought-after talent. Notably, several key players have departed Napoli in lucrative deals, such as Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich in the summer and Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea in 2022.
According to ESPN, Chelsea is now in pursuit of Kvaratskhelia, fitting their strategy of investing in promising players. Despite the substantial nine-figure asking price, Chelsea is reportedly undeterred, provided they can secure a deal within Financial Fair Play regulations.
Additionally, the Blues are said to be monitoring Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Brentford star Ivan Toney as part of their quest for a proven No.9.
