Mavin Records artist Charles Chibueze Chukwu, known as Crayon, expressed gratitude to God for the challenges he faced early in his career.
Reflecting on his journey since being signed by Don Jazzy in 2019, Crayon likened his experience to the biblical story of Job, suggesting that God may have been testing him.
In a post on his official platform, Crayon explained that achieving success in his music career now is more fulfilling than it would have been in the earlier stages.
This perspective highlights the artist’s appreciation for the growth, resilience, and lessons gained through his journey in the music industry.
“Omo thank God that I didn’t blow in 2019 when I came out. Na now sweet pass! Jesus. I had to wait bro I had to wait !!
“God tested my patience like that of Job in the Bible. Now ehnnn I’m coming for everything like a comet!!! Mo ti blowww kpaaaaa”, he wrote.
In other news, the ‘Ngozi‘ crooner shared that he battled addiction for an extended period and credited his turnaround to the guidance of Babyfresh, the producer at Mavin Records and CEO of Blowtime Imprint, who discovered his talent.
Crayon revealed that Babyfresh advised him to cease his addictive habits, and he heeded the advice, leading to his overcoming the challenges associated with substance abuse. Despite achieving fame and success, Crayon emphasized that he has now completely refrained from ingesting illicit substances.
