Why I can’t have multiple partners – Singer, Iyanya
Nigerian singer Iyanya expressed his stance on relationships, emphasizing his commitment to monogamy and his aversion to polygamy and infidelity.
The “Kukere” crooner candidly shared his perspective during a guest appearance on an episode of the Doyin’s Corner podcast, hosted by reality star Doyinsola David, also known as Doyin.
According to Iyanya, he opts for a monogamous approach because managing relationships with multiple women is financially demanding.
He said, “I have priorities. I am too busy. Cheating is expensive.”
Doyin inferred: “Is it? Sure, it is. To maintain one girl is expensive talk more of multiple women.”
Recall, Iyanya reached out to his fans, requesting their prayers for him as he aims to get married soon.
The 36-year-old made the request during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, which is hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, nicknamed Taymesan.
Iyanya, who has suggested that he wants to marry this year, has asked people to pray for his current relationship in order for God to guide him to the altar.
Iyanya: “Pray for my relationship that God will help me to settle down, even if it’s this year. That’s what you people need to be praying for. Like you now, Taymesan, you are spirit filled. That’s something you need to fast and pray about.”
Taymesan: “But my spirit is telling me that you don’t need to rush it [marriage] that God is working on you. Maybe by 2025, 2026, we will be hearing wedding bells. They no dey rush marriage.”
Iyanya: “[Screams] Baba, no na. No do like that.”
Taymesan: “Okay, Holy Spirit, let’s bring it back to 2024. Work on him Lord.”
