Nigerian sensation Burna Boy has achieved yet another impressive milestone in his illustrious career, with his 2022 hit track ‘Last Last‘ receiving the prestigious Diamond certification in France.

According to data from Chart Data, the unofficial anthem of the summer in 2022 has now earned the coveted Diamond status in France, recognized by the National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP), which monitors music sales in the European nation.

In January, the single also crossed the remarkable milestone of selling over 1 million units in the United States, qualifying it for platinum certification.

Burna Boy enthusiastically shared his celebration on Twitter to mark this remarkable achievement. ‘Last Last’ had a prominent place as one of the standout tracks on Burna Boy’s sixth studio album, ‘Love, Damini’, which he unveiled in 2022. This accomplishment can now be added to Burna Boy’s growing list of certifications, which includes:

    1. ‘African Giant’ album — Gold
    2. ‘Love, Damini’ album — Gold
    3. ‘On The Low’ — Diamond
    4. ‘Be Honest’ — Diamond
    5. ‘Jerusalema’ — Diamond
    6. ‘Last Last’ — Platinum
    7. ‘Gbona’ — Gold
    8. ‘Collateral Damage’ — Gold

These achievements underscore Burna Boy’s enduring impact in the music industry and his ability to consistently produce chart-topping hits and albums.

Burna Boy’s latest album, ‘I Told Them,‘ released in 2023, has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing 200 million streams on Spotify.

Despite this achievement, Burna found himself in the media spotlight due to a recent Twitter outburst where he offered money to Nigerian bloggers in exchange for them refraining from reporting about him.

In addition, the acclaimed African artist faced disappointment when he lost the Best Afrobeats category at the now-cancelled MTV EMA Awards. These recent developments have kept Burna Boy in the public eye, showcasing both his successes and moments of controversy.
