Jude Bellingham reveals secret behind unbelievable Real Madrid start.
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham attributes his sensational start at the club to the energy and support from the fans.
Following his transfer from Borussia Dortmund for an initial fee of £88 million in the summer, Bellingham has been on fire, scoring ten goals in ten games for Madrid. This remarkable performance has quickly made him a fan favorite and solidified his status as one of the world’s premier talents.
Not surprisingly, Bellingham was named Madrid’s Player of the Month for September, receiving the Mahou Five Star Player award. During the award ceremony, he acknowledged the fans’ role in his swift adaptation and success at the club, emphasizing the significant impact of their support.
“My connection with the fans is very special, it’s a pleasure to play for them,” he told club media. “I enjoy the songs and chants, they give me a lot of energy and strength, that’s probably why I started the way I did. I really appreciate it and I hope we can continue to make good memories together.
“It’s a dream come true. Playing here is better than I ever imagined. I’m enjoying every moment, both in training and in the games, and I hope it stays that way.”
Bellingham’s great play has also benefited England, as the midfielder guided the Three Lions to a 3-1 victory over Italy over the break.
The 20-year-old received high acclaim from England’s great and current manager of Bellingham’s previous team Birmingham City, Wayne Rooney, but he also cautioned supporters that such explosive form cannot stay indefinitely.
“What Jude is doing is incredible and you have to pay him a load of respect for the way he’s come through and gone to the next level,” Rooney said.
“What is important is that he will dip at some point and we don’t kill him when that happens – that we just get behind him and stick with him. He’s someone we really need to protect and really look forward to the future with him.
“He’s on a purple patch but that dip happens to all players and as a country we are too quick to get on players’ backs instead of giving them the chance to get out of a bad run of form. There is a lot of pressure playing for England so it’s important his coaches are around him.
“He’s in the best form of his life but if he does have that dip, let’s all get behind him. Adversity happens and it will happen with Jude, you’ve seen it with Marcus [Rashford] and Raheem [Sterling].”
