Ed Sheeran talks about Burna Boy’s smoking habit
During the latest episode of the “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend” podcast, Ed Sheeran shared a humorous and somewhat surprising anecdote about his time working with Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
He mentioned that upon entering the studio, he was taken aback by the sheer amount of smoking that Burna Boy was engaging in. Sheeran described it as the most weed he had ever seen someone consume, which left him a bit bewildered by the air pollution in the studio.
While the conversation highlighted the smoking aspect of their collaboration, Sheeran also praised Burna Boy’s artistry and shared how he appreciated working with him in the studio.
Collaborations between artists from different backgrounds can often lead to unique and memorable creative experiences, and it seems Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy’s work together was no exception.
The Grammy-winning British singer-songwriter claimed, “I work quite a lot with Burna Boy; that’s the most I’ve ever seen anyone ingest weed.”
“He came to the studio and I had a gig late on in the night. And it was very much chilled there [the studio], the door was closed. It was just smokes, smokes, smokes. And I remember walking in there to get a thing. It felt like I was not quite there [laughs].”
