Burna in a celebratory mood as “Love Damini” becomes Gold certified in France.
Nigerian Afro-fusion sensation Burna Boy has achieved a significant milestone as his sixth studio album, ‘Love, Damini,’ has officially been certified gold by the Syndicat National de L’Edition Phonographique (SNEP). This accomplishment marks a remarkable achievement for the African giant.
‘Love, Damini‘ is Burna Boy’s sixth studio album, which made its debut in July 2022 and has now earned the prestigious status of being certified gold.
The project has 19 tracks and was released by Atlantic Records. Notable international stars including J Hus, Victony, Popcaan, Ed Sheeran, J Balvin, and Khalid contributed as guests.
Love Damini’s sales have reached 50,000 equivalents, according to SNEP. One standout track, Last Last, from this popular album ended up as one of the unofficial summer anthems of 2022.
On Spotify, For Your Hand, featuring British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, has amassed over 161 million streams, while Last Last has gotten over 256 million.

The Love, Damini album was nominated for Best Global Music Album in 2022, while Last Last got a nomination for Best Global Music Performance at the 64th Grammy Awards. Burna Boy was defeated by Masa Takumi and Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode in both categories.
At the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards, Burna Boy has been nominated in the Best Afrobeats category.
He will compete against other Nigerian music icons like Asake, Davido, Ayra Starr, Aya Nakamura, and Rema. Burna Boy has also been nominated for Best Live Performance and Best African Category. On November 5, 2023, the MTV Europe Music Awards will be held.
