Spanish football club to honour Mohbad during match.
Spanish La Liga club, Cadiz CF, paid a touching tribute to the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Since the tragic passing of the 27-year-old artist on September 12, there has been an outpouring of tributes, and grief from fans and celebrities both domestically and internationally, as well as calls for justice amid allegations of foul play in his death.
Cadiz CF took to their Twitter page on Tuesday to express their heartfelt condolences to Mohbad’s family, acknowledging his widespread popularity and the love he garnered from many. They also shared their plans to honour him during one of their games by customizing a jersey with the music star’s name on it.
The club announced their intention to prominently display a Mohbad jersey on their substitute bench during their upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano.
This gesture is intended to provide strength and serve as a poignant tribute to the late artist, commemorating his impact and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
