Popular Nigerian singer and performer Bella Shmurda has reacted to the death of his close friend and fellow artist Mohbad in a recent post on his social media page.
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, it was officially announced that the talented and fast-rising rapper Mohbad passed away at the age of 27.
Bella, a close colleague and friend of the artist, turned to his social media platform, Instagram, to express his feelings over the unfortunate tragedy.
The singer who was an avid supporter and friend of the late rapper shared a post that read, “what goes around will surely come around.”
Recall, Bella Shmurda has spoken out about how his colleague Mohbad attempted suicide as a result of the disagreement he had with his old record company, Marlian Music.
Shortly after the incident, he departed the record company.
In a conversation with Chude Jideonwo, Shmurda claimed that Mohbad tried to terminate his life during his experience but was stopped by friends.
He said that Mohbad’s girlfriend had discovered him sitting on the window.
He said, “There was a time, me and Mohbad were in an apartment and Mohbad was like he wanted to jump from the upstairs because of the issues he was having with his record label. We held him by the window. Mohbad had almost jumped, it was his girlfriend that entered the room and saw him sitting down at the window.”
Bella Shmurda said Mohbad went through therapy sessions and hospital for hypertension treatment before he recovered from the issues with his former record label.
