TV presenter, Lerin Nicodemus, described award-winning Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy as “the most uninspiring artiste in Nigeria”.
Burna, according to Lerin, is the “biggest fraud” for adopting Afrobeats in order to succeed on the international arena only for him to denounce the genre after he achieved success.
The YouTuber claimed that the musician was a hypocrite for emulating Fela while creating his pan-African advocacy but failing to put it into practice whenever there is social unrest in Nigeria or elsewhere in Africa.
She accused him of belittling people at every opportunity he gets, in comparison with his counterparts, Wizkid and Davido who promote Afrobeats and uplift upcoming artistes.
“Burna Boy is the biggest fraud and most uninspiring artiste in nigeria, his entire brand is built on Fela’s Pan Africanism but when there is a social activity, he either keeps quiet or mocks the people,” she said in a part.
