Joeboy says he likes to talk to plants, trees
In a recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, Nigerian singer Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, shared an interesting aspect of his life – he talks to plants.
The artist, best known for his hit song “Baby,” revealed that he has four plants in his room, and he engages in conversations with them.
Joeboy’s statement suggests that he finds a sense of connection and possibly peace through this practice. While it might seem unconventional to some, talking to plants is a practice that some individuals believe can promote positive energy and growth, and it can also be a form of mindfulness.
Additionally, Joeboy mentioned that spirituality holds significance in his life. This suggests that he may find solace and inspiration from practices and beliefs beyond the material world, which is not uncommon among artists and individuals seeking deeper meaning in their lives.
He said, “You need a spiritual backing. It is very very important. If you don’t do jazz [voodoo], you have to pray.”
On why he has tattoos of trees, Joeboy said he is a lover of nature.
He said, “Personally, I like nature. I like plants. I have like four plants in my room.
“I named them Anthony, Themal, Raphael and Vanessa. And I actually talk to them. I just tell them how I feel. I think it’s better to talk to plants sometimes than to talk to human beings.”
