American rapper, Joe Budden describes Burna Boy as the biggest artiste in the world
Veteran American rapper and media personality, Joe Budden, has expressed his admiration for Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy by dubbing him the biggest artiste in the world.
Budden acknowledged Burna Boy’s global influence and status as a prominent music figure.
However, Budden also voiced his concern about Burna Boy’s approach in relation to his feature on the remix of Jamaican artist Byron Messia’s hit song ‘Talibans.’ Budden felt that Burna Boy seemed to take ownership of the song after being featured on the remix. He compared this situation to a past incident involving Kanye West, where he expressed strong disapproval.
Joe Budden shared his views on Burna Boy’s actions during a recent episode of his podcast, “Joe Budden Network.”
He said, “I’m never a fan of people transferring ownership of already existing songs to themselves after being featured in the remix.
“To the biggest artiste in the world [Burna Boy]. Yeah, I’m not a fan of when that happens. If you made the hit, go work it. If Burna Boy is on it, that should be yours now. But I don’t know the business he [Byron Messia] and Burna Boy did.
“I never remember that going right for somebody. Designer and Kenye [West], I was vehemently against it.”
