I Donโt Own A Camera Till Now โ TG Omori Reveals
Nigerian popular music video director TG Omori has revealed that he has never owned a camera and instead rents them for video productions.
In spite of being one of the biggest video producers in Nigeria right now, the well-known director recently appeared on a podcast chat where he revealed this previously unheard information: he still hires cameras.
On August 14, 2023, TG Omori revealed some additional details regarding his beginning in a video from the podcast that was shared on Twitter. He remembers going to acting school for the first time not knowing anything about directing music videos.
Because he used to act and direct stage performances in Church and was skilled at both, he claims that acting was his initial aspiration before realizing there was a profession in music video directing.
TG Omori is well known for demanding astronomical fees from musicians for a music video. He has frequently received criticism for his ‘enormous’ charges from both artists and internet users.
One well-known example is Blaqbonez, a well-known rapper in Nigeria who was forced to shoot his own video after the director demanded “too much” money.
It is however shocking when he states that he doesnโt have a camera. According to his statement from the video, there is a rental service that supplies him with cameras for his shooting.
He claims that the only thing he owns is a desktop computer on which he edits videos. But he rents the cameras that were utilized.
