Portable and his artist attacked during cloth shopping in Lekki.
Nigerian street pop star, Portable, has once again made headlines, this time due to an unfortunate incident that occurred while he was shopping for clothes in Lekki with his artist.
Portable has gained widespread recognition and success thanks to his music, fashion, and pranks, making him a well-known figure.
On August 8, 2023, Portable and his associates were reportedly attacked in Lekki while shopping. In an Instagram story video, Portable recounted how he and his artist, Yung Duu, were assaulted by a group of thugs, resulting in facial injuries to his artist.
According to Portable, these individuals initially approached him, posing as fans and asking for money. When he refused to give them money, they revealed themselves as cultists and informed him that August 8 marked their “8/8 celebrations” before harassing him.
In the video, Portable can be heard issuing a stern warning to his attackers, vowing to take revenge if they ever set foot in Sango Tedo, his place of residence. During his lengthy rant, he also boasted of being heavily protected and claimed affiliation with a rival cult group.
However, it’s worth noting that in the video, Portable did not mention whether he plans to report the incident to the police.
