Burna Boy’s London Stadium concert to be broadcasted in over 165 countries
Burna Boy’s historic London Stadium performance will be available exclusively on Apple Music to users in more than 165 countries.
In the history-making performance, the Grammy-winner showcases his biggest hits and fan favorites including ‘Last Last’, ‘Sittin On Top of the World’, ‘YE’, and ‘Real Life‘, with special guest appearances from Stormzy, J Hus, Dave, and Popcaan.
Burna Boy has established himself as one of the musicians bringing Nigerian music to a global audience since achieving success internationally in 2018 with his hit single “YE.”
On June 3, 2023, Burna Boy made history after 60,000 people filled up the London Stadium to watch him thus making him the first African artist to headline a stadium concert in the UK.
This is an accomplishment he has since repeated after headlining the 41,000-capacity Citi Field stadium in New York.
On July 19, 2023, Apple Music subscribers in more than 165 countries will be able to watch Burna Boy’s legendary London performance.
In an interview with Ebro Darden to preview the live performance, Burna Boy shared that he was impressed by the crowds’ energy and grateful for their support. He also shared that the concert is part of his effort in trying to let the world know music is bigger than a genre.
The London Stadium tour is part of the stops for Burna Boy’s Grammy-nominated sixth album ‘Love, Damini’ which reached NO. 1 in 70 countries.
The album also holds the record for the biggest first-day and first-week global streams by an album by an African artist.
The second season of Apple Music Live, which will premiere with a riveting performance by Ed Sheeran at 8 PM local time in Nigeria, will include Burna Boy.
The Nigerian superstar joins Wizkid as the second African artist to have an Apple Music Live performance.
