Napoli’s President confident Osimhen will remain at the club this summer
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has spoken to the media about the ongoing transfer rumors surrounding Victor Osimhen.
Despite interest from several other clubs, De Laurentiis expressed his belief that the Nigerian striker, who was the top scorer in Serie A last season, will stay with Napoli. However, he also hinted at the club’s readiness to make new signings if Osimhen were to leave.
De Laurentiis pointed to past signings such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen himself as evidence of Napoli’s ambition to attract high-caliber players.
“We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that’s for sure,” De Laurentiis said.
“Then if a more than indecent proposal arrives, we will move on and find another top talent as we did with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen”.
While it is true that Napoli had a successful season, winning the Scudetto, the contribution of Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia played a significant role in their triumph. The club will be hopeful that Osimhen remains with them, as they aim to defend their title in the upcoming season.
The coming weeks will be crucial in determining Osimhen’s future, as the interest from other clubs may translate into concrete offers. If Osimhen stays, Napoli will continue to benefit from his goal-scoring ability and overall impact on the team. However, if he departs, the club will shift their focus towards acquiring new signings to strengthen the squad.
Napoli’s fans can expect further developments in the transfer market as the club looks to make strategic moves to enhance their team for the challenges that lie ahead. The club’s objective will be to maintain their competitive edge and build on their success from the previous season.
