Ruben Loftus-Cheek joins AC Milan from Chelsea.
The permanent transfer of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea to AC Milan is now finalized.
The academy product, who joined Chelsea when he was eight years old, spent 19 years on the books at Stamford Bridge and made 155 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.
His anticipated breakout season was thwarted by a catastrophic Achilles injury during the conclusion of the 2018–19 season, and after a loan to Fulham in 2020–21, Loftus-Cheek’s Chelsea career would be limited to a squad role.
Loftus-Cheek decided to move to Milan in quest of a new beginning, where he would work with Fikayo Tomori, a former teammate from the Blues, on a four-year deal.

Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly are just a few of the players Chelsea has parted ways with this summer. Cesar Azpilicueta, who has agreed to terms with Inter, is anticipated to join them.
Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia is still interested in Hakim Ziyech, but issues raised during a physical have made his transfer uncertain.
Milan is interested in a number of Chelsea players, notably winger Christian Pulisic, so the two clubs’ business might not end here.
Pulisic has two years left on his Chelsea deal, just like Loftus-Cheek, and is free to leave the team this summer for the right price. In Serie A, the American has generated interest.
Although Chelsea is rumored to be a fan of Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, the 27-year-old is probably too expensive for the Premier League team, who are looking for a goaltender to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.
