Burna Boy’s Netherlands Show Organizers Release Statement, Blame Local Authorities For Cancelled Show.
Nigerian prominently renowned heavyweight artist, Burna Boy is currently facing criticism for postponing his show in the Netherlands after keeping supporters waiting for several hours. The event organizers have released a statement in response.
The show’s organizers stated that the local authorities played a part in the show’s eventual cancellation.
Burna Boy, who apparently sold out the concert, reportedly left a large number of disappointed fans waiting for several hours before cancelling the show. The Grammy-winning musician, who has apologized, has also disclosed why the event was cancelled.
Speaking from another perspective, the event’s organizers, Bon Bon Entertainment, who have been operating in Europe for many years and have worked with heavyweights such as Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Black Coffee, Mr Eazi, Rema, and a slew of others, took to social media to apologize to the fans and shed more light on the disappointment.
The organization claims that despite their best efforts, including those of Burna Boy’s crew, the show was unable to proceed. They continued by saying that local officials also contributed to the postponement since they forbade them from going ahead with the event because they deemed it to be “irresponsible.”
The announcement by Bon Bon Entertainment that news of a new date would be shared was similar to what Burna Boy said in his statement.
