Davido Announced As A Performing Act At The “Juneteenth: A Global Celebration For Freedom 2023” Concert
Award-winning Afrobeat superstar Davido is set to grace the stage at the “Juneteenth: Global Celebration for Freedom 2023” concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
The DMW boss will perform among renowned performers such as Miguel, Jodeci, Coi Leray, and many more at the “Juneteenth: Global Celebration for Freedom” event, which will take place on June 19, 2023, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
The event is being held to commemorate “Juneteenth,” a national holiday in the United States that marks the abolition of slavery in the country. It is being produced by Live Nation Urban and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
The concert, which made its debut in 2022, is expected to return bigger and better with CNN serving as a broadcast sponsor.
Davido confirmed he would be performing at the concert in a post he shared on his social media platform.

The president of Live Nation Urban, Shawn Gee, said:
Last year, we launched Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom, and it was emotional and unforgettable for everyone involved. We’ve teamed up with our partners at CNN and Jesse Collins Entertainment again, and this year we are broadcasting live from the historic Los Angeles venue, the Greek Theatre. We are looking forward to educating and celebrating the Juneteenth holiday.”
The Greek Theatre is one of the country’s most cherished outdoor entertainment venues. On its 158th anniversary, the networks will air content to inspire and inform audiences about Juneteenth.
On Monday, June 19 at 8 pm ET, Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom will air on all CNN platforms on OWN nationally with unique pre-show programming on CNN.
