Chidinma explains how her mother made a covenant with God because of her.

Nigerian Gospel singer, Chidinma Ekile has spoken candidly about her upbringing and the commitment her mother made with God.

The former secular singer confessed that she was born blind and that after medical treatment failed, her parents were compelled to turn to God.

The celebrity, who gained notoriety in 2021 after quitting secular music, claimed that it was a significant issue for her parents, especially because all of their efforts to get her to see a doctor through the use of medicine had been ineffective.

According to Chidinma, her parents ultimately had to pray to God for a miracle cure for her.

The gospel singer claimed that after regaining her sight, her mother struck a bargain with God to dedicate her to him.

“I was born blind actually, I didn’t open my eyes at all and that became a challenge, my parents tried all that they could to get me to see,”

“Without my knowledge, my mum made a deal with God.”

On why she left cellular music she said to be fulfilled, the gifted singer claimed she needed to reconnect with her source, which was God.

“I was looking for my fulfilment but I didn’t find it until I reconnected with my source,” she added.
