Tems, Ayra Starr, Asisat Oshoala, Blessing Abeng, and Khloe Abiri were among the seven Nigerians listed on Forbes Africa’s “30 Under 30” list.

Forbes Africa has published its annual edition of 30 Under 30, a prestigious collection that celebrates the achievements of outstanding young businesspeople, innovators, and leaders who are under the age of 30.

The list, headlined “The Newest Self-Made Young Innovators and Leaders Writing a New Vision for Africa,” features 30 dynamic and versatile people who are driving Africa’s development in their own special ways.

The finalists were chosen from a pool of over a thousand candidates, which includes former Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 alumni.

To conduct a thorough selection process that took into account innovation, scalability, social impact, and overall contribution to Africa’s development, the editorial team, led by Under 30 curator Chanel Retief, collaborated with a panel of independent external judges and subject-matter experts.

The list contains 11 South Africans, two Rwandans, Tanzanians and Ghanaians each, and one each from Botswana, Namibia, Cameroon, Lesotho, Mauritius and Kenya.

Among the Nigerians are award-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, reality TV star Abiri Oluwabusayo, known as Khloe, football star Asisat Oshoala, tech entrepreneurs Hansel and Germain Ndu Okeke, and business innovator Blessing Joel Abeng.
