Malusi Mbokazi, a gospel musician, is grateful beyond measure after recovering from a condition that nearly took his life in 2022.

He wrote a song about the experience, Ngimbonile, which was included in his upcoming EP, The Revival.

“I did a live recording album and it was successful but after that, I was attacked by the illness that nearly claimed my life,” he said.

According to Daily Sun, Malusi Mbokazi claimed that when the physicians informed him that his gallbladder was bloated, it alarmed him since he thought a problem with the gallbladder was a sign of impending death.

“I noticed that my life was in danger. After all the difficulties I experienced, I decided to compose Ngimbonile, with the aim of praising God,” said Malusi.

In addition, Tshepo Modise, better known by his stage name Cruz Afrika, has announced his departure from the South African music industry.

The Trap star made a statement announcing his decision, saying he thought most musicians would hesitate to make that decision.

“After years of a very successful career and the addition of relative industry awards, the controversial South African trap star Mr Pray for Me hitmaker announces that he is ready to retire from the music industry,” reads the press release.

The CEO of Afrika Hotlines who will celebrate his 40th birthday on the 23rd of March 2023 posted a heartfelt video clip on social media to announce his retirement from the music industry.

“He mentioned that although he will not be recording any new music, he will still be available for features and co-signs for the benefit of young independent artists to use his household brand status to further their careers.”
