Years after humiliating Segun Wire, Segun’s mother pleads with Zlatan.
The mother of Segun Wire, the young child who gained notoriety online after a video of him declaring his desire to grow up as a “Yahoo Boy” went viral, has issued a formal apology to musician Zlatan.
Nine years ago, Zlatan pledged to send Segun Wire to school.
You might also recall how Zlatan was apprehended, and assaulted by a mob for allegedly using and teaching Segun Yahoo while he was living with him.
According to his word, the Zanku crooner adopted him, took over management of his career, and included him in one of his music videos.
However, their friendship was short-lived after Segun Wire’s family claimed that the singer had taken advantage of them.
A video of the singer Zlatan getting attacked by hoodlums who were allegedly tied to Segun’s family also went viral at the time.

The singer changed his mind about assisting Segun after the incident, and he later expressed regret for doing so in a number of interviews.
The mother of Segun Wire was seen pleading for Zlatan to pardon them in a recent video. She claims that she did not know what she was doing and that she has now come to terms with her errors.

She desperately pleaded with Him to save them before they die of hunger.
“I know I’ve offended you, this suffering is too much, forgive me, forgive Segun. I beg you in God’s name. This suffering is too much”. She said in Yoruba.
Segun Wire revealed in a different video that he continues to live in poverty because his parents turned down Zlatan’s support.
He also revealed that he can’t read or write and he is still on the streets begging for money.
