Nigerian music star Harrison Tare Okiri, better known by his stage name Harrysong sparked diverse reactions in the online community after coming out to speak against the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expressing his dissatisfaction.

Harrysong posted a photo of the Ekiti state presidential election results on his social media pages along with a message that made it clear he disapproved of the outcome, which he labelled fake.

Harrysong is not the only well-known celebrity to have spoken on the suspicions of massive electoral fraud in the nation.

Elections 2023: On Saturday, February 25, Nigerians went to the polls to choose a new president and National Assembly member. The emergence of Peter Obi, a member of the Labour party, as a third force and an increase in voter registration, served as electoral indicators.

While there were claims of extensive irregularities throughout several areas, including voter disenfranchisement tactics, harassment, intimidation, and the destruction of voting materials, the election was calm in certain states.

The Labour party rejected the results of the presidential election due to significant irregularities at a news conference led by its national leader, Barrister Julius Abure.

Dele Momodu, the presidential campaign’s spokesperson, voiced the People’s Democratic Party’s displeasure over the delayed downloading of results during a news conference.

At the International Conference Centre in Abuja, where observers from all over the globe have assembled to witness the election, the poll results from the 36 states are still being tallied.
