Ex-Man Utd & Ajax star Daley Blind set to complete Bayern Munich transfer.
Former Manchester United star Daley Blind is reportedly set to join Bayern Munich as a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Ajax.
According to The Athletic, the Dutch defender is set to undergo a medical with Bayern Munich ahead of sealing a permanent move to the Allianz Arena.
It is expected that he will sign a deal with the option of an additional year that runs through the end of the current season. He was spotted early on Thursday at Amsterdam’s Schipol airport before departing for Southern Germany.
Blind decided in December to finish his previous contract with Ajax early after doing well for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup.

After Lucas Hernandez tore his anterior cruciate ligament during France’s opening match against Australia at the World Cup, Bayern is looking to add defensive reinforcements.
In addition, Blind’s performance in Qatar demonstrated his continued ability to perform at the greatest level as he assisted Oranje in reaching the quarterfinals. Blind has the necessary expertise to fill that gap.
Before joining Manchester United in 2014, the 32-year-old began his career with Ajax in 2008 and won four Eredivisie titles with them. Before returning to Ajax in 2018 and winning three additional league titles, he played for the Red Devils for four seasons, winning the Europa League and FA Cup. Blind will seek to add the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and Champions League to his trophy collection should his move to Bayern go through.
When Bayern resume their season against RB Leipzig on January 20, the defender might be available to manager Julian Nagelsmann.
